What's going on?
very long and complicated story, but in short being talked about on twitter for years makes me very fearful for my life. nothing of the sort is happening to my knowledge but i have debilitating anxiety that makes me believe that sort of thing is going on anyway
I don't know your background or exact reasons for your worries. And given that the feeling of 'being watched' makes you uncomfortable I'm not going to do any digging. But...
People on the internet only know what you share with them. If you want to be a more 'private person', stop sharing things on the internet that you do not want the whole world to know.
If you feel that deleting your various accounts on the internet can give you back your mental balance, then you should do that. Start with facebook, Twitter/"X" and other "social" media sites - if applicable.
I normally tell people to weigh their options, but if it's as bad as you describe it, then you should prioritize your mental health. There are more important things than your presentation on the internet.
That being said: On Newgrounds you could delete individual reviews, news posts, art submissions, etc. that you feel should no longer be public. If you do not feel uncomfortable about sharing your art want to share 'just' art and nothing else, that would be fine as well.
Update: I just had a peek at your drawn art. It's not for me, but you 'do' have skill. You earned that scouted status. :)
I appreciate it a lot, I'm trying my best day by day
What's going on ?
Did someone tried to stalk you ?
both of my exes are stalking me. they have good reason to be upset with me but i'm sick of being watched and talked about by people who have no reason to be doing so and i don't want internet toxicity in my life anymore
@sawyercide have you tried to contact the authorities about it ?
it's an online deal, i don't think there's much they can do about it :-(
@Scudlez @sawyercide Actually, 'cybercrimes' (like cyberbullying) are still 'crimes'.
Depending on what country you're in, you can either talk about it with the police or with a specialized branch of local law enforcement. Some of those branches (like the 'FBI Cyber Division'*) tend to be very specialized and might redirect you to the local police department.
I cannot accurately predict the viewpoints of law enforcement branches all over the world, but it will help your position if you make a short list of "past incidents" that you can think of, so you have them at the ready when you are talking at somebody over the phone about it. Remember: Stay polite, even if something they say ticks you off. They are likely dealing with at least 10 "crazy people" each day and might want to "test" if you are a person who overreacts easily. (It's not that they hate callers - it's kind of a survival strategy in that kind of job.)
Even in the worst case scenario ("Sorry, we cannot 'legally' help you.") they might be able to give you a link to a government issued guide written for people in your position.
